what is the most fun class in swtor
S-Tier Classes: S-Tier classes represent the pinnacle of SWTOR performance in both PvE and PvP. These classes offer exceptional damage, survivability, or utility, making them valuable assets in any group. For example, the Marauder / Sentinel (DPS) excels in delivering sustained damage over time. In PvE, their high burst damage and ability to chain abilities make them indispensable for raids. In PvP, they shine due to their high mobility and excellent crowd control abilities, allowing them to dominate in 1v1 encounters or assist with team fights.
A-Tier Classes: A-Tier classes are slightly below the S-Tier but still perform exceptionally well. They offer great utility and solid performance in both PvE and PvP scenarios. For instance, the Sniper / Gunslinger (DPS) is known for their ability to deal consistent high damage from a distance. In PvE, their sustained damage is invaluable during boss encounters, while their defensive skills keep them alive during tough fights. In PvP, they can harass opponents from afar, making them ideal for players who enjoy positioning and control.
When choosing a class in Star Wars: The Old Republic, it’s important to consider what content you plan to focus on—PvE, PvP, or a mix of both. While S-Tier classes offer the most flexibility and power, A-Tier and B-Tier classes are still great choices for players who want to excel in specific roles or content. If you’re aiming to dominate in end-game content like raids or ranked PvP, choosing an S-Tier class like the Marauder or Sorcerer healer will give you the best performance.
Top Performers: The top performers in each role category include S-Tier classes like Shadow / Assassin, Sentinel / Marauder, and Vanguard / Powertech for damage, with the Scoundrel / Operative being the top healer. These classes not only excel in specific roles but also provide a varied gameplay experience, combining elements of stealth, burst damage, and healing, which can be immensely fun for players.
If you’ve ever wanted to play Darth Maul or Galen Marek, then the Shadow / Assassin stealth specialist is for you. This is probably the most played Tank Advanced Class, but it also excels as a stealth DPS. The Advanced Class as a whole excels in PvP, and many of its abilities do more when made from behind an enemy.
Taking the coveted top spot for Healer specs while also boasting great DPS capability, the Scoundrel / Operative is one of the two stealth specialists. Having a healer that can also go into stealth to stun enemies or otherwise keep out of danger until the need rises makes this a very well-appreciated Advanced Class.
The Smuggler has some of the funniest content in SWTOR, and it is the most lighthearted of the stories. Unlike the Bounty Hunter, the Smuggler’s humor remains consistent, and the tone remains fun throughout the story.
Additionally, some really fun and easy ones to play include AP Powertech, Vengeance Juggernaut, Deception Assassin, and Arsenal Mercenary. The rotations for damage abilities are fairly simple, and … Ranked is really fun if you catch people out of position and sleep dart them.
Personally, having only played the 4 Republic starting stories and 1 Sith Warrior, I found the Smuggler class to be the most fun. Moving into a Gunslinger was also super fun!
