Ah, Keese Eyeballs. Let’s face it. Dealing with Keese in Tears of the Kingdom is like swatting mosquitoes at night. But don’t dismiss these pesky creatures. The eyeballs they leave behind? They are surprisingly useful.

From Annoyance to Advantage: Unlocking the Potential of Keese Eyeballs

You’ve dealt with a swarm of Keese. You probably muttered about their erratic flying. Good job! Don’t ignore those creepy eyeballs. Let’s explore why they are a boon in Hyrule. We’re talking combat boosts, elixirs, and fashion. Keese Eyeballs will surprise you.

Combat Prowess: Aiming True and Striking Harder

Struggling against fast enemies? Keese Eyeballs are the answer. These little orbs are fantastic fused to arrows. They grant a homing ability. Yes, that’s right! Stick a Keese Eyeball on an arrow, and you become like Hawkeye, making Bokoblins and Peahats easier targets.

But there’s more! Fusing a Keese Eyeball to an arrow boosts accuracy and gives +1 damage. Every bit matters in tough fights, right? Plus, the type of Eyeball matters. Fire, Ice, or Shock can unleash elemental damage. Imagine firing a Fire Keese Eyeball arrow. It explodes in flames.

It’s not just arrows that benefit. Attach a Keese Eyeball to your sword or spear. It boosts attack power and gives it the Keese’s elemental affinity. Hitting a Moblin with a Fire-infused weapon? Watch them panic as they catch fire! Fun!

Shields also get a boost! Fusing a Keese Eyeball to your shield increases its attack power. Parrying becomes an offensive tactic. With a Fire Eyeball shield, enemies catch fire upon parry. An Ice Eyeball? Freeze them on the spot! Defense turns aggressive!

Culinary Creations: Brewing Potent Elixirs

Keese Eyeballs have a refined side too: elixir crafting. They can be used with critters like Bugs or Frogs to brew elixirs. Think of them as secret ingredients for useful brews.

The real advantage? Duration! Add a Keese Eyeball to an elixir, and it lasts longer. Who wants temporary buffs? Nobody.

Any type of Keese Eyeball works for elixirs. Standard, Fire, Ice, or Electric all make your potions effective. For elixir recipes, the IGN Tears of the Kingdom Guide offers great ideas.

Fashion Forward: Dyeing Your Armor with Eyeballs?

Bring Sayge some Keese Eyeballs. He will make Orange Dye for you. If you love orange, then Keese Eyeballs are your ticket for a vibrant armor set. It’s a bit morbid but effective for personalization.

Monetary Matters: Turning Eyeballs into Rupees

Need Rupees? Short on cash for armor or arrows? Keese Eyeballs can become a source of income. Vendors will buy them easily. It’s not glamorous, but it works.

If you seek specific buyers, Milton, the traveling merchant, loves monster parts. For a consistent option, Fang and Bone will exchange Keese Eyeballs for Mon – their currency. Next time you’re overwhelmed by eyeballs, : they are hidden Rupees!

Armor Enhancement: Leveling Up Your Defenses

For armor fans, Keese Eyeballs are vital for upgrading certain sets. If you have the Soldier’s Set, you need them for next-level upgrades. This applies to Soldier’s Armor, Helm, and Greaves.

Each piece requires three Keese Eyeballs plus three Moblin Guts. While you farm Keese, take down some Moblins too. A Level 2 Soldier’s Set is worth it for a defense boost. Visit the Zelda Wiki for armor upgrade material details.

Keese Eyeball Farming 101: Bat-tering for Eyeballs

Are you convinced by the usefulness of Keese Eyeballs? Ready to stock up? Let’s talk farming. First, understand Keese behavior: they thrive at night and in caves.

Nighttime is Prime Time: Keese are nocturnal. They come out at night. If you plan to hunt them, wait for nightfall. You will see more activity.

Cave Dwellers: Keese love caves, especially entrances at night. These are hotspots for swarms. Wait for dark near a cave entrance; soon, a swarm will arrive.

Swarms are Your Friends: Keese appear in large groups. This is great for farming as you can take down several at once. Look for clusters of bats.

Bomb Arrows for Maximum Efficiency: For swarms, bomb arrows are essential. A bomb arrow can destroy a swarm in one go, showering you with eyeballs. It’s quick and satisfying.

YunoboCo HQ Hotspot: For guaranteed Keese swarms, head around YunoboCo HQ. You can find swarms that respawn every Blood Moon cycle! That’s 30-60 eyeballs every Blood Moon.

Laser Beams and Construct Heads: A laser beam can take out swarms too. A cave on the western outskirts often hosts swarms. Just to grab your loot swiftly.

Know Your Keese: Elemental Varieties

Not all Keese are the same. There are elemental types. Knowing the differences maximizes your eyeball utility. We have Fire, Ice, and Electric Keese.

Fire Keese Eyeballs: Imbued with heat for fire effects, fuse them for fiery weapon attacks and arrows that explode in flames.

Ice Keese Eyeballs: Frosty counterparts that can freeze enemies and cause icy blasts. Ideal against fire-based foes.

Electric Keese Eyeballs: These deliver electric shocks to enemies, stunning them and causing weapon drops. Especially useful against Bokoblins!

Keese: A Brief Bestiary

Lastly, about Keese themselves: these bat-like monsters are nocturnal and often cling to cave ceilings. They attack in swarms, being nuisances in combat.

Individually, they’re weak and can fall with one blow. Don’t underestimate groups!

Interestingly, Keese have been part of the Zelda series since the first game. They may be annoying, but now you see – they offer surprisingly useful byproducts!
