Squad Management Issues
That kind of mindset perfectly illustrates why we need squad management. Since when is booting someone out of your squad ‘toxic’? It isn’t like they get kicked out of the game; they can still continue on their mindless, merry way. While other players who actually want to help out—PTFO, revive, dole out ammo, spot, etc.—can team up, play together, and, oh I don’t know, play like a SQUAD.
Who hasn’t had that mental giant in their squad who:
- A. Won’t revive or give ammo, spot, etc.
- B. Spends the whole match hill-humping while ineffectively sniping at the far edges of the map while the rest of you are getting slaughtered PTFO, and then has the audacity to whine non-stop because you won’t run over there to give them ammo.
- C. Spends the whole match hurling insults and telling everyone how ‘trash’ the team is from their 39th place position on the scoreboard.
- D. Drives off in a vehicle without picking anybody up.
- E. Uses a fully loaded Condor as their own personal transport, bails out to get to their favorite sniper nest, and lets everyone else die a fiery death.
Battlefield 7’s Community Experience
This game has been the most anti-community Battlefield released to date. There is no server browser, no persistent servers, no clan/platoon , no all-chat, no VOIP at launch, and last but certainly not least, no squad management at least as of the writing of this post.
Game Realism
Battlefield wins due to its adherence to real-world physics, which isn’t saying much because Battlefield games are actually terrible simulators. Still, they’re more realistic compared to Call of Duty. For the most part, Battlefield is a pretty solid middle ground in of its realism—more lifelike than Call of Duty, but not as realistic and intense as the Arma franchise.
Expectations for Battlefield 7
A former DICE developer cautions fans to ‘temper their expectations’ for the Battlefield title, as it will differ from previous entries. Although Battlefield aims to make the next game in the franchise more realistic, this could also run the risk of alienating players.

Currently, at least four studios are confirmed to be working on Battlefield 6. Franchise creator DICE is taking the lead on Battlefield 6’s multiplayer, while Dead Space Remake’s EA Motive handles the singleplayer portion. Why Are Fans Disappointed with Battlefield 7?
Fans fear for the future of Battlefield 7 for no real reason. The announcement of work on Battlefield 7 provoked a specific reaction among fans, who are afraid of another disappointment after the failure of its predecessor. Not many are willing to trust EA again, even with Vince Zampella at the helm of the new series — and the company’s stance on the use of artificial intelligence only complicates matters.
Many Reddit s are criticizing the project for its lazy implementation, poor graphics, and potential bugs. However, the biggest concerns were raised about the future of Battlefield 7 — for some reason, it was assumed that the material presented by EA is the alpha version. This caused widespread panic, ‘proving’ to some that EA DICE had not changed at all and the next game would be as bad as 2042.
Although the use of AI is still not satisfactory, most people seem to understand that this is just a preliminary example and doesn’t indicate ‘cardboard graphics’ in Battlefield 7. The showcased recording is unrelated to the actual game, as it wasn’t the focus of the presentation. The use of assets from the latest installment of the series was probably just convenient for EA.
Notably, 98% of the team developing the new Battlefield didn’t work on any of the previous installments of the series. This has sparked a lot of hype, but fans remain doubtful about whether the devs will fulfill their promises and truly prioritize the players’ expectations. The management of DICE has been described as ‘micro-managing to death,’ which Rizible blames for the issues faced by many studios acquired by EA, including DICE.
The launch of Battlefield 2042 mirrored the BF V release and signaled the departure of Oskar Gabrielson, who had been EA DICE’s leader for only 5 years. This situation led to the management of Electronic Arts transforming Battlefield in the style of the Call of Duty series. Veterans of the series who remained at EA DICE felt a loss of control over the brand, prompting many to leave the studio.
Moreover, fans are concerned about the claim that EA executives were ‘corporate people without exception,’ focused on making games to profit from them, rather than creating quality games. However, some players point to the return of elements from Battlefield 3 and 4, including the class system, as a reason for cautious optimism regarding Battlefield 7.

The Future of the Battlefield Franchise: What Comes Next?
New information has surfaced regarding the installment of Battlefield, commonly referred to as Battlefield 7. These insights come from Vince Zampella, the head of Respawn Entertainment studio. He recently gave an interview to IGN, where he discussed what the next shooter will be. Notably, IGN revealed the first concept art from the next Battlefield.
As for the game itself, we have the following news:
- Battlefield 7 is to be set in modern times.
- Zampella noted that Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 were the pinnacles of the series.
- The maps are designed for a maximum of 64 players; in contrast, Battlefield 2042 allowed up to 128 players.
- Character classes will return, and specialists will be removed.
- The developer emphasized the importance of preserving the ‘core’ of Battlefield, crucial for long-time fans of the shooter.
In of timeline, the earliest we can expect Battlefield 7 is autumn 2025. However, we may have to wait longer. The ‘community program’ mentioned by Zampella is set to be announced next year, with the goal of engaging players more. While it’s unclear what this will involve, we can speculate it might be something akin to closed tests.
