Decoding Tailraiders: Your Guide to Monster Hunter World’s Wild Allies

Feeling lonely in Monster Hunter World? Want backup beyond your Palico? Meet Tailraiders. They’re wild monsters. With a little Palico help, they you in hunts. Think monster diplomacy, but with roaring and no paperwork.

Unlocking the Wild Bunch: Tailraider Recruitment 101

How do you recruit monsters? It isn’t like ing out friendship bracelets. Your Palico’s social skills help. If they’re chatty (they always are), they can charm smaller monsters or Grimalkynes. Those pals become Tailraiders, ready for action.

Curious who you can recruit? Good news! Your wildlife map shows which monsters want to your crew. A quick reminder: your Palico must be active. They can’t sit idle to recruit these allies. Have your wingman ready to make the magic happen.

Leveling Up Your Wild Bunch

Recruiting is just the first step. You need to build these friendships. To level up your Tailraiders, show them action. Visit their camp, invite them, and go hunt! It’s a solo mission for leveling. No need to share the spotlight. Take your Tailraiders on missions or expeditions to boost their experience. It’s monster training, on-the-job style.

Tailraider Unity: Friendship Levels for Monsters

Wondering about your bond with Tailraiders? Monster Hunter World tracks friendship levels! Check your Guild Card. It’s like a social media profile for hunters. View your Palico info using L1/R1, then hit L2/R2 for Tailraider Unity Levels. See how much your bonds have grown. Bragging rights included.

The Tailraider Signal: Calling in the Cavalry

Want more backup? Use the Tailraider Signal. This tool lets you summon more NPC allies. Think of it as a monster flash mob! But, there’s a catch: you can’t use the signal in sieges. Too chaotic for monster reinforcements.

Unlock this handy tool by visiting Hoarfrost Reach. Braving the cold is worth it. Why? Three reasons: First, monster tracking becomes easy. Second, we focus on Tailraiders here. Third, who doesn’t want more monster friends? Reach Hoarfrost Reach for your future monster army.

Raider Ride: Monsterback Adventures

Ever wanted to ride a Jagras into battle? Raider Ride makes it real. Riding monsters is undeniably cool.

Unlocking Your Monster Mounts

The road to monsterback riding starts with friendship. Charm a Grimalkyne tribe in one zone, then chat with your Palico. Find them in your room, a camp, or Seliana hub. Your Palico will share how to communicate with local critters. They’ve learned to whisper sweet nothings for rides.

Taking a Monster for a Spin

With Raider Ride unlocked, hit the road on monsterback. Use the Raider Ride Call item to summon your mount. It could be a Jagras or other rideable monsters! By default, your mount follows tracks like a pro. Want direction? Pull up the wildlife map and set a target. It’s like monster GPS, point and ride!

Meet the Tailraiders: Specific Monster Allies

Let’s talk specifics about recruitable monsters.

Wulg Tailraiders: Hoarfrost Reach Hooligans

If you’ve braved Hoarfrost Reach, Wulgs can become your frost-covered friends. To unlock Wulg Raider Ride, chat with your Palico three times. Keep at it! Eventually, they’ll announce learning Wulg-taming secrets. Boom! Raider Ride in Hoarfrost Reach is yours. Summon a Wulg and ride around in style!

Jagras Tailraiders: Ancient Forest Fiends

Returning to the lush Ancient Forest? You can recruit Jagras there. Befriend the Grimalkyne tribe first. Those little Lynians are key. Then, you guessed it, talk to your Palico. They’re connecting you with wild allies.

Tailraider Safari: Palico Expeditions for Loot

Want treasures while hunting? Enter the Tailraider Safari. Send your Palico on a scavenger hunt.

Accessing the Safari

Starting a safari is easy. Talk to the Housekeeper in your room. They manage safari logistics and are not just for cleaning.

Safari Mechanics: Send ‘Em Out and Reap the Rewards

Safaris use research points. Spend these to send your Palico and friends on expeditions. Each safari takes five regular quests to finish. While you hunt, your Palico is on their adventure. After five quests, they return with rewards. It’s ive income with monster-gathered loot!

Safari Spoils: Vouchers and Sinister Cloth

What treasures await from a Tailraider Safari? Start with Tailraider Vouchers. These are useful for many things, so stock up! You can also get Sinister Cloth from different safaris. For rare Sinister Cloth+, high rank safaris are best.

To befriend Grimalkynes, find their doodles around areas like the Ancient Forest. These doodles are like monster tracks for research. Collect enough and they lead you to the Grimalkyne tribe, opening new Tailraider options. It all ties together in monster friendship!

Tailraider Vouchers: Your Monster Ally Currency

Lastly, a quick word on Tailraider Vouchers. How to earn these coupons? Simple! Get them by completing quests, defeating monsters, or through Tailraider Safaris. Playing the game and engaging naturally brings Tailraider Vouchers. They reward sociable hunters who build bonds with wild creatures.

Your comprehensive guide to Tailraiders is here! Go forth, befriend monsters, and build the wildest hunting posse in the New World. Happy hunting, and may your monster allies have your back (literally)!
