Cruising Down Vice City in Style: The Voodoo Car and Everything You Need to Know

Roaming the sun-soaked streets of Vice City? You feel that 80s vibe. You want a cool ride? Look no further than the Voodoo car. This isn’t just any car; it’s a statement. A lowrider legend in the Grand Theft Auto universe.

What in the World is the Voodoo Car Anyway?

The Voodoo, in GTA , is your classic lowrider. It’s a two-door beauty that has been turning heads since Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. This ride appears in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Vice City Stories too. It’s a reliable friend, but it’s a car with vintage charm.

Where to Snag Yourself a Voodoo in Vice City?

Searching for a Voodoo is not hard. They’re out there, if you know where to look. A great spot for a Voodoo is Little Haiti. Auntie Poulet’s place is a prime location. A Voodoo might be parked outside, just waiting to be “borrowed”.

  • Central Little Havana, near Robina’s house – look near the houses.
  • Northwest of Robina’s house, in front of another house – Voodoos like residential areas.

While you search around Little Haiti, you might see a Cuban Hermes. But , you’re here for the Voodoo, the true king of lowrider cool in Vice City.

Operation “Get Voodoo”: Your Step-by-Step Guide

Want to get a Voodoo? It’s simpler than you think. Especially if you tackle the “Trojan Voodoo” mission. Here’s how:

  1. Auntie Poulet’s Pad: Go to Auntie Poulet’s place in Little Haiti. Look out for a Voodoo parked outside, waiting for you.
  2. “Borrow” Your Ride: “Steal” is harsh; let’s say “temporarily acquire.” Hop in the Voodoo and make it yours.
  3. Factory Run: Head to the factory. The game guides you, so you won’t get lost.
  4. Park It Like You Own It: Follow the instructions and park the Voodoo in the right spot. Easy.
  5. Haitian Hustle: Beware of some “unfriendly” Haitians. Deal with them fast. Think of it as Voodoo security you need to neutralize.

And boom! You’re rolling in your very own Voodoo, mission accomplished (or at least, Voodoo acquired).

Voodoo’s Real-World Doppelganger: Spot the Inspiration

Wonder what real-life metal inspired the Voodoo’s design? Look at the classic 1959-1960 Chevrolet Impala. That panoramic windshield and those tail fins? Pure Impala magic.

But here’s a twist: while the Impala has triple tail lights, the Voodoo has double ones, nodding to the fourth-generation Chevrolet Bel Air and the 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne. It’s like a Chevy greatest hits, rolled into one ride. Some say it hints at a gray 1960s car too, just to keep it interesting.

Later, in the HD Universe, the Voodoo took cues from the 1964 Chevrolet Impala. Check the shape, roof, and front bumper – it’s all there. A nod to timeless Impala appeal.

Voodoo: From Standard to Super Lowrider – The Customization Lowdown

Think your standard Voodoo is cool? Hold on. You can boost that factor at Benny’s Original Motor Works. For $420,000 (virtual money, no real loans), transform your Voodoo into a lowrider masterpiece.

The base price for a Voodoo is $5,500. So, you can the Voodoo action without breaking the bank. But who can resist a pimped-out lowrider? Benny’s wants your in-game cash.

“Trojan Voodoo”: Is It the End of the Road?

Now, about that “Trojan Voodoo” mission. Is it the grand finale of Vice City’s story? Not quite. “Trojan Voodoo” is a crucial mission, but not the end of your Vice City adventure. It’s a thrilling chapter in your criminal empire building.

You must infiltrate a Haitian drug factory. Your weapon of choice? You guessed it, a Voodoo. Tommy Vercetti needs to take Pepe, cruise into Little Haiti, “acquire” a Voodoo, meet Rico and the Cuban crew, and drive into the factory pretending to be one of them. Stay cool. Stay in the car until inside, park at the spot, and then things get explosive.

Voodoo’s Family Tree: Other GTA Appearances

The Voodoo isn’t a one-time star. It’s a recurring star in the GTA 3D Universe. Beyond Vice City, it’s in San Andreas and Vice City Stories too. It’s the reliable old friend of the GTA car world.

If you want a modern cousin, check out the Declasse Voodoo. It’s a classic lowrider, keeping the Voodoo spirit alive in newer GTA installments.

Vice City’s Wheels Beyond the Voodoo: A Car Lover’s Paradise

Loving the Voodoo? Vice City is a car buffet. Need speed? The Infernus is your king. Want an 80s Miami ride? The Cheetah, inspired by Ferrari Testarossa, offers style and velocity.

Looking for something robust? Try the FBI Rancher, the SUV for cops. For a sporty classic, the Banshee is a favorite, long-running with the Infernus in the GTA series.

Ever thought about the Washington? In the HD Universe, it channels vibes of 1998–2002 Lincoln Town Car, with headlights nodding to the 2006 Lincoln Zephyr. Vice City’s car scene is an automotive melting pot.

Show Me the Money! (Without Cheats, Mostly)

Let’s discuss cash, Vice City style. Is there a magic “money cheat”? No direct cheat exists. But don’t worry, there are ways to fill your wallet. Missions are key, of course. For side hustle cash, dive into minigames like Cone Crazy. Who knew cones could be so rewarding?

Owning businesses can bring ive income. If feeling cheeky, exploit game mechanics for cash. Vice City rewards entrepreneurial spirits, even a bit shady.

Little Haiti: Voodoo’s Natural Habitat

We’ve mentioned Little Haiti often. Where is this lively neighborhood? It’s in Vice City’s north, bordering Downtown north and Little Havana south. Escobar International Airport is just southwest, perfect for… uh… international business.

Little Haiti is Voodoo territory. It has that vibe, atmosphere, and backdrop for cruising your lowrider and causing mayhem, Vice City style.

Now you know about the Voodoo car. Location scouted, mission-briefed, and real-world inspiration revealed. Get out there, cruise Vice City in style, and make that Voodoo yours. Just watch out for those “unfriendly” Haitians!
