Who is Yenndo in Five Nights at Freddy’s?

Yenndo Overview

Yenndo is a Funtime endoskeleton and a minor antagonist from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. Despite his small role in the main game, he also appears in Sister Location’s Custom Night, as well as in Help Wanted 2 as a posthumous antagonist. Yenndo is an endoskeleton strongly similar to Funtime Freddy’s.

Physical Appearance

Yenndo’s physical appearance is very similar to Funtime Freddy’s endoskeleton, with a complete lack of a suit-shell, revealing detailed endoskeleton wirings. However, he has several differences, including:

Encounter in Sister Location

In Sister Location, when using the Flash Beacon in the Funtime Auditorium on Night 3, the player can encounter Yenndo, who remains stationary and maintains eye , unlike Funtime Foxy. The player has a 1/1000 chance of encountering Yenndo instead of Funtime Foxy. Notably, Yenndo’s appearance is locked in; if he appears once, he’ll be the only enemy in that room for the entire section. In the event of a jumpscare, Yenndo will call Funtime Foxy’s jumpscare instead, due to not having one initially in the game.

Behavior in Custom Night

In the non-canon Custom Night, Yenndo acts similarly to Golden Freddy from the first and second games. At random moments throughout the night, he will appear on the right side of the Private Room after the monitor is closed. He completely disregards the doors, appearing whether they are open or closed. When he is in the room, the Oxygen bar will quickly deplete until it reaches zero. The moment the player sees him, they must bring up the Monitor to make him disappear.

Name Origin

The name Yenndo was first found in the game files, as a portmanteau of Yellow and Endoskeleton. This was later shown to be his full name in Custom Night. Given that Golden Freddy was named Yellowbear in a similar way, this has led fans to theorize that Yenndo was once Funtime Fredbear.

Final Thoughts

Yenndo’s behavior is identical to Golden Freddy’s in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, suggesting a possible connection. He’s a Freddy endo with yellow eyes. In Custom Night, if the player fails to pull up the monitor, he will jumpscare the player.

Yenndo’s Connection to Golden Freddy: What You Need to Know

Yenndo’s Connection to Golden Freddy:

Yenndo acts very similar to Golden Freddy from the first and second games. At random moments throughout the night, he will appear on the right side of the Private Room after closing the Monitor. Furthermore, similar to Golden Freddy, Yenndo completely disregards the Doors, appearing regardless of whether they are open or closed. When he is in the Private Room, the oxygen level will quickly deplete. The moment the player sees Yenndo, they must activate the Monitor again. Doing so will cause him to vanish and avoid a swift death.

Additionally, Yenndo’s name is presumably a portmanteau of “Yellow Endo”, as he is an endoskeleton with yellow irises. This, by extension, could also be a reference to Golden Freddy’s name in the first game’s code; “Yellow Bear”. His behavior in the Custom Night is also identical to Golden Freddy’s in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, possibly suggesting a connection.

Moreover, Yenndo is the first naked endoskeleton that is capable of physically attacking the player. He is Freddy’s only counterpart to lack both a hat and a bowtie. Although, if the top of his head is observed, there is an upwards-facing screw, suggesting that there is a hat that is supposed to be screwed on, or perhaps even that the screw is the hat.

It is also notable that Yenndo behaves similarly to Golden Freddy in Five Nights 1. Previous deductions suggest that Golden Freddy is probably a version of Fredbear. This lines up as well. In conclusion, Yenndo is an endoskeleton that belongs to the Night 4 suit, which has been deduced to be none other than Funtime Fredbear.

Lastly, there is a theory known as GoldenYenndo, sometimes called YenndoGolden. This theory proposes that Yenndo from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location is another manifestation of Golden Freddy. Golden Freddy does appear in Custom Night as the character Yenndo because he is probably the endoskeleton of a Funtime Fredbear/Golden Freddy.

The Role of Yenndo in FNAF Sister Location Explained

Yenndo Overview: Yenndo is a Funtime endoskeleton and a minor antagonist from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. Despite having a small role in the main game, he appears in Sister Location’s Custom Night and in Help Wanted 2 as a posthumous antagonist.

Design Characteristics: Yenndo’s design closely resembles Funtime Freddy’s endoskeleton. However, he showcases several distinct features:

  • Yellow irises instead of blue
  • Lack of a suit-shell, which reveals detailed endoskeleton wiring
  • Spaces between his eyes are further apart
  • No inner face-plates or hand-puppet

His name, presumed to be a portmanteau of ‘Yellow Endo’, reflects both his design and may also reference Golden Freddy’s name in the game’s code. Furthermore, he is notable for being the first naked endoskeleton capable of physically attacking the player, emphasizing his unique role within the FNAF universe.

In-Game Behavior: In Sister Location, players may encounter Yenndo in the Funtime Auditorium on Night 3 when using the Flash Beacon. He remains stationary, maintaining eye with the player without attacking, unless the beacon is not used. In Custom Night, Yenndo behaves similarly to Golden Freddy by appearing unexpectedly and depleting oxygen levels upon being seen. This characteristic requires players to react quickly to avoid a swift death.

Appearance as an Easter Egg: Additionally, Yenndo can be seen as an Easter egg in Funtime Auditorium on Nights 3 and 5. It is important to note that while Yenndo appears in these instances, he cannot jumpscare the player.

How to Survive Encounters with Yenndo

To survive encounters with Yenndo, it’s important to understand his behavior and strategies for evasion:

  • In the Funtime Auditorium on Night 3, using the Flash Beacon provides a rare chance to encounter Yenndo instead of Funtime Foxy. When faced with Yenndo, he remains stationary, maintaining eye , and does not attack. However, if you fail to use the beacon, Funtime Foxy will attack.
  • During the Breaker Room: Hard Reset level, Yenndo replaces Funtime Freddy. As you restart breakers, he will approach from the darkness. To ward off Yenndo, use the same strategy as against Funtime Freddy. Be cautious, as he blends well with the room’s darkness and his eyes do not glow, making him harder to track.
  • Yenndo can be particularly dangerous as he drains your oxygen quickly and can kill you if you are slow. However, he is simple to deal with: as soon as you see him, bring your monitor up quickly. This action will cause him to disappear, and you have more leeway than with other animatronics. Use this advantage, but be sure to quickly address other lethal threats.

Is Yenndo a Funtime Animatronic?

Is Yenndo a Funtime Animatronic?

Yes, Yenndo is considered a Funtime endoskeleton. He is one of the five animatronics introduced in the Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location Custom Night. Yenndo is an endoskeleton bear similar to Funtime Freddy’s endo. This character is believed to be the endoskeleton of Funtime Fredbear. The name ‘Yenndo’ is thought to be a combination of ‘yellow’ and ‘endo’.

Appearance

  • Yenndo’s appearance is identical to Funtime Freddy’s endoskeleton, but with a few differences:
    • A lack of ‘Face-Frames’
    • Having both hands (which includes the lack of Bon-Bon)
    • Screw without the hat
    • Yellow irises instead of sapphire blue
  • Despite being an endoskeleton, he has eyebrows, a nose piece, and cheek spots.
  • He is the only counterpart of Freddy with his endoskeleton fully visible.

Role in Gameplay

  • Yenndo plays a minor antagonist role in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location.
  • During a Custom Night preset with Yenndo, he may randomly appear in the Private Room office after the player lowers their monitor.
  • He will then rapidly drain the player’s oxygen. If he appears, the player must put up the monitor as soon as they see him.
  • If the player fails to pull up the monitor, he will jumpscare the player.
  • Yenndo belongs to the Night 4 suit, which is deduced to be Funtime Fredbear.

Understanding Yenndo’s Design: An Endoskeleton Overview

Yenndo Overview

Yenndo is a funtime endoskeleton characterized by a model appearance based on Funtime Freddy. He is a minor antagonist from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. Despite his small role in the main game, he also appears in the Custom Night and Help Wanted 2.

Yenndo closely resembles the Funtime Freddy endoskeleton, featuring detailed wirings that are akin to human muscle layers. Interestingly, although he maintains a similarity to Funtime Freddy, his appearance uniquely resembles that of a human.

Functionality of Endoskeletons

The endoskeletons are housed inside character-themed suits. This design brings the animatronics to life for patrons visiting restaurants hosted by Fazbear Entertainment, including Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. Furthermore, this endoskeleton configuration allows the animatronics to roam around these establishments at night.

Additionally, the endoskeletons serve as a crucial element of the game. They are significant because they contribute to the player’s demise, albeit not the physical endoskeleton itself, but rather the animatronics’ confusion of it with the player.

Yenndo’s Unique Traits

In the context of Custom Night, Yenndo is notable for only manifesting in the Private Room without ever appearing on camera, making him a distinctive presence in the game.

Fan Theories About Yenndo: What Do Reddit s Say?

Fan Theories About Yenndo:

GoldenYenndo, sometimes called YenndoGolden, is the theory that Yenndo from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location is another manifestation of Golden Freddy. Evidence includes:

  • Yenndo’s name is a combination of Yellow Endo, and Golden Freddy was originally called Yellow Bear in FNaF1.
  • Yenndo exhibits the same behavior as previous Golden Freddy appearances. He appears out of nowhere in the Private Room and Funtime Auditorium, ignoring doors like a ghost. In the Custom Night, you must get rid of him the same way as Golden Freddy, by flipping up the monitor.
  • Since Golden Freddy is discontinued at the time of FNaF2, it would not make sense for Fazbear Entertainment to repair him for the FNaF1 location. Thus, it is assumed the spirit possessing Golden Freddy can slightly alter his appearance. Accordingly, Yenndo could be another manifestation of the Golden Freddy spirit, this time taking the appearance of the Funtime animatronics.
  • At the time of Sister Location, the Golden Freddy spirit is probably no longer in Golden Freddy, raising questions about how they would manifest a separate entity. Unlike the other forms of Golden Freddy, Yenndo appears in the Help Wanted 2 minigames, suggesting that he may have been spotted by multiple people and could simply be a normal endoskeleton.
  • Interestingly, both Lefty and Yenndo are bear animatronics with golden eyes existing within the same time frame. Some speculate that Molten Freddy is just the remains of Funtime Freddy from Sister Location, a facility where animatronics are built and sent to different locations. It is possible that Lefty was in development during Sister Location under the project name Yenndo, potentially due to the yellow eyes.
  • Moreover, some Reddit s are theorizing that the Puppet, possibly the daughter of Henry, is Lefty. This raises the question of whether the Puppet could also be Yenndo, implying that the Puppet appears in every game.
  • Conversely, there are points of contention. One mentioned that Freddy is a combination of Funtime Foxy, Ballora, Funtime Freddy, and Bonbon, arguing that Yenndo and Pink Bonbon are not canon.
  • Another perspective is that Yenndo may just represent a looser version of the endoskeleton limbs seen in Sister Location.
  • Additionally, one theory suggests Yenndo is the ghostly manifestation of a technician who was killed while crawling through the vents. The circumstances of their death remain unknown, but they were last seen fixing Funtime Freddy, who lacked a hand puppet.

Yenndo’s Influence on FNAF Lore: A Deep Dive

Yenndo is a unique and mysterious character within the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. He first appears in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, standing out due to his distinctive design and ambiguous role within the game’s lore. Yenndo is one of the rare animatronics whose existence raises more questions than answers, making him an intriguing figure in the FNaF universe.

Yenndo is an endoskeleton, a skeletal framework designed to the outer suits of animatronics. What makes Yenndo particularly intriguing is that he appears without any exterior suit or facial coverings, unlike other endoskeletons seen in the series. His design closely resembles that of Funtime Freddy, yet without the outer shell, making him appear as a raw, unfinished, or perhaps even discarded version of the animatronic. Therefore, the absence of an outer suit raises questions about Yenndo’s origins.

Theories about Yenndo’s connection to the broader FNaF lore are abundant. Some fans speculate that Yenndo could be linked to the dark history of animatronic experimentation within the FNaF universe. Given his unfinished state, he might represent one of many attempts by Afton Robotics or Fazbear Entertainment to create new animatronics, some of which were abandoned or never fully realized. Yenndo’s exposed endoskeleton serves as a stark reminder of the mechanical and, potentially, malevolent nature that lies beneath.

Yenndo’s presence in Sister Location can also be interpreted as a metaphor for the concept of ‘the ghost in the machine.’ In this view, Yenndo represents the idea that even the most seemingly lifeless or incomplete parts of the animatronics have a potential for danger. His sudden appearances in the game could symbolize the unpredictable nature of the haunted, glitch-ridden world of FNaF, where even the remnants and fragments of animatronics pose a threat.

Although Yenndo is among the Funtime Animatronics, he doesn’t have a considerable role in the game or its lore. He remains a fascinating enemy, like Golden Freddy. Structurally, he is similar to Funtime Freddy, having the same basic shape, including round ears and a square head. However, Yenndo has both arms, does not wear a top hat or hold a microphone, lacks inner face plates or a speaker on his chest, and his irises are yellow, not blue. Importantly, the most distinct aspect of Yenndo is that he doesn’t have a suit/shell; instead, his endoskeleton and wires are visible.

Despite his minor role, Yenndo’s lore touches upon critical points related to Fazbear Entertainment’s history. The co-founder William Afton created Afton Robotics after Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza closed due to the Missing Children Incident. Using Afton Robotics, William built Circus Baby’s Pizza World, a kid-centric restaurant with Circus Baby as the primary attraction. However, Circus Baby killed William’s daughter, Elizabeth Afton, before the location opened, leading to its closure. Subsequently, William opened Circus Baby’s Entertainment and Rental, allowing people to rent animatronics for private parties. Yenndo is among the Funtime Animatronics William created.

Yenndo makes his most significant appearance in Sister Location during Night 3. Players must maintain Funtime Freddy, but they must also through the Funtime Auditorium to reach the animatronic. In the Auditorium, there is a scarce chance—about 1 in 1,000—of encountering Yenndo instead of Funtime Foxy. Interestingly, the odds of encountering this animatronic improve during Custom Night, where he randomly appears throughout the night. He often shows up when the monitor is put down in the room’s right side. Even if players close the doors, Yenndo still appears, teleporting into the room, similar to Golden Freddy in earlier games.

It is noted that when creating the Funtime Animatronics, Afton built Yenndo as a counterpart to Funtime Freddy. However, he never finished Yenndo due to a lack of a significant role for him—resulting in the animatronic being a spare. This explains why Yenndo doesn’t have a designated location in the facility, unlike most other Funtime Animatronics. As a result, he lurked in the facility, deemed too scary for children and without a real purpose.

In of lore, Yenndo could be potentially connected to Fredbear/Golden Freddy due to design similarities with Funtime Freddy’s endoskeleton. The origins of Yenndo remain ambiguous, yet his appearance in Custom Night amplifies his narrative role. He is one of the five animatronics with a repeating jumpscare, emphasizing his haunting presence.

Yenndo exhibits a unique behavior pattern akin to Golden Freddy from FNaF 1 and Phantom Freddy from FNaF 3. This enhances his significance within the FNaF universe. He is classified as one of the Custom Night exclusive animatronics, appearing solely in the Private Room and never on any cameras. This characteristic adds to the mystery surrounding his character.
